Just in: L’Eau de Blixen by Jardin’s d’Ecrivains. Inspiration: hot fragrant breezes in Karen Blixen’s novel Out of Africa, a story about a lady managing a coffee plantation, navigating the men’s world, finding her way and adventure. The story’s set in the middle of the 20th century and the perfume is an ultra-feminine technic color saturated powdery woody magnolia. It’s so rich that the cologne concentration is enough to create a cloud of ambery nuances with a powdery sweet floral edge around the wearer (wearess?).
Top notes: magnolia, vetiver
Heart notes: chypre, hyacinth, osmanthus, patchouli, powdery notes
Base notes: ambrette seeds, musk, styrax
