Just in: Nocturnal Poetry by PRIN. A beautiful experiment in unstructured, non-narrative perfume design. There are perfumes that are made intentionally chaotic, like the rich, random buzz of a night forest, or the multitude of sounds at the sea-shore. This can be achieved by mixing many complex materials in tiny proportions, so the pattern and logic of the perfume becomes obscure and out of focus. For Nocturnal Poetry, Prin mixed many beautiful dark perfume materials: earthy violet leaf, tart leathery hyraceum, smoky castoreum (an accord), spicy tobacco, incense and steaming coffee.
