Labdanum: a resin with a rich ambery leathery aroma

Labdanum: a resin with a rich ambery leathery aroma that comes from rockrose (Cistus ladanifer) and is still often harvested in the ancient way. Goats roam the steep slopes somewhere in the Mediterranean and then their wooly bellies get washed to obtain labdanum.

Labdanum is often part of leather perfumes, is an excellent background for sunny green blends and is also a classic ingredient in amber perfumes.

Explore the labdanum theme with Bloom's sample pack which also comes with a sample of the material.
