Mimosa arrived in French Provence in the middle of the 19th century, making its way from Australia via Hyde Park and Crystal Palace. It was the Victorians (who spent their winters in the Riviera) who launched the fashion for this elegant tree. The demand for the beautifully fragrant mimosa bloom became so great that they were planted on a commercial scale in Tanneron, a commune just above Cannes.

Perfumers started introducing mimosa as a perfume note into formulas around the 1940’s. Now, the third decade into the 21st century, mimosa and its innocent green aroma is going through a mini renaissance.

Perris again collaborated with an amazing perfume artist to create their mimosa story. Jean Claude Ellena describes his Mimosa Tanneron as an ode to tenderness, sweetness, and the sensation of love about to begin.

A peaceful stroll through the wheat fields and almond trees as the light of a summer day wanes and the warmth of the air caresses your skin… Admiring the beauty of the sun as it starts dipping behind the rolling hills and bunches of wild roses and geraniums color the dimming countryside.

Their bountiful blooms release subtle droplets of nectar that float in the air and blend with the earthy scent of freshly cut wood, invading the early night…

Honey, rose and boozy vanilla combine in a delectable amber that turns sticky into licky. This eau de parfum blends an abundance of golden honey and the warmth of rum with an irresistibly addictive vanilla absolute. Damask rose and pink pepper unfolds into the warmth of tonka bean absolute and benzoin resinoid, beckoning anyone who approaches with seductive allure. Patchouli and orcanox adds further depth, revealing darker tones that envelop the room with a euphoric embrace.

Inspired by the traditional Provençal sweet Calisson, an almond-shaped paste of candied fruit topped with fondant icing. This edp launches with bergamot and sugary milk. Fresh orange blossom radiates from the heart, supported by a warm and creamy sandalwood. Base notes of caramel, vanilla and musk complete the mouth-watering effect.

The soft, gentle, enveloping fragrance of Teint de Neige in its most concentrated version. Recalling images and atmosphere of the belle-époque, with sweet and powdery notes of jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang on a base of musk, tonka beans and heliotrope.

Perfumer: Fabrice Pellegrin approached the song through the angle of a soft transition into a new era.

Kumaru is the name of the tree that produces the star of this composition: the incredibly expressive tonka bean. This sensual and comforting fragrance is built around this versatile material in all its facets: woody, balsamic, vanillic and almondy, with hints of tobacco and hay. Cardamom, roasted barley and amber add a gourmand texture that shimmers between touchable and lickable. Musks heighten the addictive quality.

Shaped by French beauty influencer and tech academic Mia Fall (@socharmante), Vanilla for Breakfast is an olfactory confession of her deepest obsession: vanilla. Sweet almond extract, milky and tender, harmonizes with creamy benzoin as not one, not two, not three, but FOUR different vanillas assert themselves. A vanilla tincture lifts first alongside the sweet almond. Vanilla CO2 bridges the top to the heart. Vanilla absolute from Madagascar settles into the heart and base. And finally, a twentyfold concentrated vanilla absolute, the most enveloping of all, stays with you forever. Roasted tonka absolute underscores the message with its toasted depth. A beguiling fog of vanilla pod, tonka bean and hazelnut, swirled through with almond and coconut milk. Airy green jasmine allows the sweetness to stay on the right side of unrelenting, while crème brûlée and long-lasting musk ensure this haze is more than a phase.

Velvet's deep notes of vanilla, rose and amber are made sheer with skin musk. The drydown reveals an unexpectedly delicate and smoky sillage for a breathable indulgence when it meets bare skin.
