What does music smell like? Jazmin Saraï is the worlds of scent and music, combined.
Inspired by synesthesia and the power of influence that one human sense can have on another, the Montreal based perfumer Dana El Masri initially set out to infuse her fragrances with the spirit of some of her favourite musicians. Still driven by that same passion today her scents aim to realise how these two powerful but ultimately invisible experiences (music and scent) can influence us to our core. The perfume house name: Jazmin is the combination of the queen of flowers, jasmine and the king of musical genres, jazz. Saraï is an oriental word (found across many cultures) meaning 'palace'. The idea being: the wind carries scent and sound through the hallways of the palace, reaching the wearer, making him/her feel good and at one with the self.
