Onder de Linde 2018 Edition
This perfume had been through several iterations since its launch few years ago.
Originally it was named after the famous Jan Vermeer’s painting The Milkmaid /Melkmeisje/ as it was a clever olfactory study of tones and contrasting shades of scent.
Then it was renamed Onder de Linde (under the lindens) in 2017 to reflect the main theme: green honeyed linden blossom.
Now a new 2018 iteration is available: the linden blossom theme is even bigger and brighter, the drydown is more ornate, the overall character of the perfume is still fresh and fruit still decorate the opening.
Onder der Linde opens with bright, tangy and fruity notes of linden blossom and apple and its heart of sweet lilac is textured with powdery notes of vetiver, iris and sandalwood.
Honey and musk give a veiled note of suggestion, mirroring the hidden sensuality symbolised in Vermeer's painting.
A scent of hidden and surprising depths.
