Orlando by Jardins d’Écrivains

The perfume is referencing a layered story spanning centuries, countries and a journey from one gender to another: Orlando.

The formula is heavy on cloves – the prized novel spice of Elizabethan as well as ginger and oranges to hint at the chilly Christmas of the year of the Great Frost of 1608 (when the novel starts).

As the protagonist travels through time, lands and gender, same way formula mellows into dark oriental notes of patchouli, amber and musk.

Orlando is a scent like no other, challenging in its “otherness’ and playing with contrast of harsh and delectable perfume notes.
