Rosa Nigra by UNUM

If you've never found the rose you like, try this fragrance. All of the notes are combined to represent a fantasy smell of a heavenly powdery rose, and smelling Rosa Nigra you will think of roses, but it’s only a beautiful illusion. The perfumer reflected on the symbolism of the Virgin’s Assumption (rose, of course, being her symbol in the Christian tradition). What remains with us is only a story in humanity’s common memory, no relics, no grave to venerate. Hence the perfume is a fantastic rose, our intellect reconstructing a notion of a rose when given the cues. The smooth ebony cap is a hint at gothic black madonnas.

Try this one if you like sensual, dark iris leathers, or if you have been forever looking for a rose but none of the straightforward florals really did it.
