Inspired by St James's Park, a quick promenade away from our Jermyn Street shop, one of London’s oldest Royal Parks, surrounded by some of the country’s most famous landmarks and lush greenery.
Creamy sweet and bitter green aromas encompass the shoreline of the blissful lake towered by an abundance of fig trees, immense in scale with elongated deciduous leaves flaunting their architectural foliage, believed to be the largest in Britain.

Mulberry Fig is a scent that evokes a floral amber fragrance combining the soft powdery character of orris with hints of fruit and spice. The perfume opens with a sparkle of fig and cardamom supported from the heart with fragrant green tones of vetiver and cypress. Amyris, cedarwood and sandalwood emphasise the overall woody character that permeates through the perfume.

Heaven on earth: Alamut.

If we were to believe Marco Polo’s story - Alamut was the fortress and headquarters of the order of assassins. In Alamut among other things, according to Marco, the new recruits could experience the demo version of heaven. An assassin to be would be inebriates by some potion (even though Marco never mention which drug it was, highly likely it was hashish). Then the recruit would be taken to a pleasure garden with drinks, food and beautiful maiden. Afterwards the head of the order would explain that absolute loyalty and fearless determination would guarantee an afterlife of this kind.

Lorenzo Villorezi’s Alamut is an intense sensual rose resting on a cloud of ambergris.

IRIS DES CHAMPS: THE CONCEPT
Iris is a plant with elegant and stylish flowers that conceals a hidden treasure. Already considered sacred by the Egyptians, the iris became, under the heraldic name of Lily, the symbol of royalty in France. Surprisingly, it is not its sublime flower but its underground part that holds this olfactory treasure; the rhizomes, the roots of the flowers contain the Irone, a unique fragrant and rich molecule that makes up the iris notes. The flower itself has no smell. Many perfumers have worked with this fabulous raw material, unveiling its earthy facets but none of them has given thought to what the smell of the flower should be. Houbigant has taken a completely different approach by creating an olfactory interpretation of the flower. The perfume ouverture evokes the freshness of the morning dew with bergamot, lily of the valley and pink pepper. The sensual hart pulses with an alluring bouquet of iris, rose, jasmin sambac and ylang ylang. The velvety smooth finale concludes with warm and woody notes.
