Lacura, the name of this perfume extrait sounds a bit like Latin or some magic language for "protection or cure".

It’s an uplifting nectarous woody citrus formula that has the complete set of wonderful perfume materials from the bitter orange tree: bigarade oil from the fruit, neroli and orange blossom absolute from the bloom and the fresh woody petigrain from leaves and twigs. That citrus and fresh woody plenty is layered with voluminous modern musks (velvety Velutone), gleaming vanilla, caramel and benzoin.

In the times when most people still believed in the magic of scent, orange blossom was considered to be a symbol/good charm for marital harmony and bliss (and often it’s still part of brides’ bouquets) and also an aphrodisiac.

This perfume is a beautiful harmony of fresh which is carefully put together from the citrus bliss of mandarin, shy bitter-green of lily-of-the-valey, soft orange blossom and dry vetiver.

The Mediterranean freshness of the essence, whose citrus notes are accompanied by the sensuality of damask rose, sublimating in sinuous oriental echoes, is inspired by the colour that has made the frescoes of Pompeian domes famous and unmistakable all over the world.

The pigment obtained from the mineral cinnabar, Rossopompeiano, emblem of a part of the history the perfumer Agatho’s city, becomes a perfume.

A green citrus perfume in which the delicious juicy aroma of ripe mandarins is mixed with the dry greenness of petitgrain, soft musky geranium, and crisp cedarwood.

As always, Perris go for the best materials they can source from around the world. Mandarins in this perfume come from southern Italy, with nuances supplied by green and yellow mandarins harvested in different seasons.

The green fruit extract has a delicate fleeting aroma, which rolls into a more confident sweet blend of ripe mandarins. The amber note in the base merges the two into a happy zesty perfume.

Heaven on earth: Alamut.

If we were to believe Marco Polo’s story - Alamut was the fortress and headquarters of the order of assassins. In Alamut among other things, according to Marco, the new recruits could experience the demo version of heaven. An assassin to be would be inebriates by some potion (even though Marco never mention which drug it was, highly likely it was hashish). Then the recruit would be taken to a pleasure garden with drinks, food and beautiful maiden. Afterwards the head of the order would explain that absolute loyalty and fearless determination would guarantee an afterlife of this kind.

Lorenzo Villorezi’s Alamut is an intense sensual rose resting on a cloud of ambergris.

Neroli is an essential oil produced by steam distillation from the flower of the bitter orange tree, also known as Monsieur Le Bigaradier.

The essence of neroli in this perfume has been carefully sourced by Perris in the sunny Calabrian coast from traditional producers. It’s top quality and has a fresh, slightly bitter, floral character with aromatic nuances.

As if kissed by the sun, caressed by the wind, nourished by the earth and quenched by the sea, Neroli Mediterraneo reveals all the sumptuous citrus and flowery nuances of the Italian neroli made even more sparkling with the help of orange blossom and petitgrain. A touch of Timur pepper and ginger make it even more upbeat.

According to ancient religious scriptures, Mary mother of Jesus was informed of her destiny by the Archangel Gabriel when she was about 13 years old. Artists over the centuries have been captivated by the idea of this scene, a startled schoolgirl recoiling in shock from the supernatural being. The lily, symbolizing purity and innocence, is not only a common element of these artworks, but is also the inspiration for this extrait. In principio, Latin for “in the beginning”, is a meditation on the creamy radiance of lily, supported by the down-low sensuality of ylang ylang. Mace, sweeter than nutmeg and softer than incense, lends clarity, while sweet/tart kumquat sharpens the focus.

Hasbaya is a city in Lebanon, and Néroli Hasbaya is inspired by a Lebanese dessert called mouhalabieh, a milk pudding flavoured with orange blossom and pistachio. This extrait opens with incandescent neroli, wrapped in nutty’n’buttery hints of pistachio and almond. Orange blossom reveals its full depth in the base, and the creamy richness of sandalwood and Peruvian balsam enhance the enfolding trail of this radiant perfume.
