This fragrance is inspired by love, drama and opulence of the famous painting by P. P. Rubens and the legend of Samson and Delilah. Osmanthus Noble is intense and has a strong personality and notes of Osmanthus, Ylang Ylang and Jasmine absolute flowers, spicy tobacco, warm amber and sandalwood.

At opening you can feel fresh, spicy and aldehydic notes blended with bergamot and mandarin that give vividness and intensity.  The noble osmanthus absolute combined with an aromatic clary sage play together to form a soft suede accord. Tobacco absolute, delicious black cherry, saffron and tonka beans play an important role in creating a sensual atmosphere. Floral notes of jasmine sambac and ylang-ylang give vitality and bloom in the heart. In the dry down, oakmoss absolute, labdanum, sandalwood, smoky vetiver and animalic musks bring a spiritual feeling and allow the perfume to linger on the skin.

PG5.1 Suede Osmanthe is a novel leather. The perfumer mixes some classic leather notes with modern complex synthetic aroma-compounds which smell fantasy-like, familiar yet new. The black tea absolute is mixed with the Suederal molecule, aldehydes and cashmeran and together they create an illusion of the smoky musky osmanthus flower aroma.

The Sniff on PG's new 5.1 Suede Osmanthe:
"Imagine for a moment that you are four or five years old. Your mother has dropped her faithful suede handbag on the kitchen table and she tells you that there are some sweets inside that she brought home for you. You go over to investigate. As you pull the sides of the bag open a wave of scent escapes."

A mouth-watering gourmand inspired by the baking prowess of Jany, one of the daughters of Sora Dora flounder Antoine. We envision Jany busy in the kitchen, dusted in sugar and flour, preparing tarte tatin. The butter melts on the hot glass dish, dissolving brown sugar into syrup. The aroma swirls around the room, billows to the veranda, travels to the garden. Baked apples and cinnamon sticks merge into exhalations of puff pastry. Then come caramel, almonds and vanilla, powerful aromas that linger into the evening.

The Flower of the Rising Sun!

The blooms of osmanthus, also known as sweet olive, exude sweet, fruity, leathery notes. In its creation bearing the blossom’s name, Molinard presents a surprising twist, blending the intoxicating floral notes of jasmine and tuberose with an irresistibly velvety duet of iris powder and apricot.

A sensuously carnal creation brimming with insouciance and freedom!

The name Pushpak comes from the Sanskrit for “season of flowers”, and this extrait is inspired by the essence of first love. Love’s first touch is summoned with notes of white champaca and osmanthus absolute, with fruity notes of peach and apricot. The warmth of a first hug is suggested by the glow of vanilla and amber, with tonka bean absolute and Thai oud deepening the experience. A tender whisper of powdery musk remains delicately present throughout.

Narcotic tuberose, a favourite of Marie Antoinette, amped to heady heights here by ylang-ylang with added saffron intrigue. This voluptuous floral is bold but not shrill, thanks to the grounding of suede, papyrus, patchouli and cashmere wood.

“Do whatever you want
in your own way, lipstick, powder head
love letters, cherry on top
all grown up but not really.”

This potion summons strange leather suggested by iris, which also cues impressions of vintage lipstick. A distant marzipan twists the leather into doll head notes of plastic and powder, for an unexpectedly tough statement.

About Suede Osmanthe 5.1 by Pierre Guillaume Paris

How does Suede Osmanthe 5.1 differ from these similar fragrances?
Suede Osmanthe 5.1 uniquely combines suede, apricot, osmanthus, aldehydes, black tea, musk, and cashmeran for a balanced leather-fruity-floral scent with a soft smoky tea note. Many similar fragrances share some of these notes but vary significantly in their emphasis on tobacco, oud, vanilla, or powdery elements, making each distinct.
What are the key notes that define Suede Osmanthe 5.1’s leather character?
The leather character in Suede Osmanthe 5.1 is mainly defined by suede and cashmeran, which provide a soft, warm, and slightly musky texture. These are complemented by musk, which adds depth, and the contrast of apricot and osmanthus softens the leathery base with fruity and floral facets.
Which fragrances here emphasise suede most strongly?
Osmanthus Noble, PG5.1 Suede Osmanthe, 107 Nappa Tuberosa, Almond Suede, Cuir Velours, and Dolly all highlight suede prominently in their compositions. Each interprets suede differently, ranging from smoky and beastly to clean and powdery textures.
