The floral nuances are sweet, delicate, almost naive, whilst the lemon is sharper, sourer but never very aggressive."

Inspired by the traditional Provençal sweet Calisson, an almond-shaped paste of candied fruit topped with fondant icing. This edp launches with bergamot and sugary milk. Fresh orange blossom radiates from the heart, supported by a warm and creamy sandalwood. Base notes of caramel, vanilla and musk complete the mouth-watering effect.

The spirited country girl arrives in the bustle of the city, determined to change her status to “anything but innocent”. That’s Sweet Lure, bubbling with naughty possibilities. Cinnamon and lily-of-the-valley swirl in a bamboozling haze of neroli and vanilla, keeping things alluring but fun.

Succumb to the indulgence of Vanille Crème, a gourmand evoking the richness and tenderness of homemade custard. The bergamot and cream opening recalls the velvety scent of freshly made crème anglaise. The heart reveals vanilla, enhanced by a touch of caramel and buttery notes. In the base, enveloping notes of vanilla, musk, and sugar snuggle with sweetness.

Created by Master Perfumer Paul Parquet in 1882, Fougère Royale completely revolutionized the world of perfumes and established modern perfumery as it exists today. In the dedicated pursuit to expand olfactory palettes with novel, new aromas, he’d derived coumarin from the tonka bean in a worldwide premiere. The perfectly-blended perfume is redolent of green and fragrant foliage with densely shaded woodlands. Sweet green grasses suggest the freshly-released essences of a crushed and dewy verdure, with an intense hint of newly-mown hay.

Fougère Royale’s nuanced scent composition opens with a vibrant, sparkling cocktail of bergamot, lavender and Mediterranean herbs. The heart follows, with floral-spicy Rondeletia accord, rare in most perfumes. Opening into rich geranium and warm spices. A floral intermezzo showcases rare rose essences and absolutes, spiked by pepper, cinnamon and carnation. Finally, a grand finale of earthy, ambery and woody harmonies, where moss notes join a sensual patchouli enriched by warm coumarinic undertones of tonka beans and clary sage absolute.

No. 89 has been an icon among the Floris collection for over 60 years. First crafted in 1951, No. 89 takes its name from the number of their flagship shop on Jermyn Street.

Nawab of Oudh is part of the Four Corners of the Earth collection and represents India, the land that gives us oud, a plethora of spices, and so many beautiful flowers.

The name of the perfume can be interpreted in two ways. It’s a literal reference to the rich history and culture of India: hawab or nabob meaning ‘the ruler’, and Oudh the historical name of the modern day Uttar Pradesh region. However, given the current fashion for oud perfumes, you can interpret the name “the oud to rule them all’.

Nawab of Oudh has the complex architecture of many ingredients, surrounding the oud heart deep within. And on the way there, you will travel through layers of cardamom and other fresh spices, extravagant garlands of exotic flowers, the sea breeze of ambergris, and more.

The elixir is also exceptionally concentrated, at 42% - hence the 'intensivo' in the title.

White Blood refers to the pale, living fluid in the stem of a flower. In this case, an imaginary flower with opalescent petals. Seemingly a “nothing” colour, here white reveals itself as the sum of a thousand shades: layered iridescences, light diffracting at every angle. A crisp, appealingly sour opening of starfruit launches into a dense tropical juice of tiaré and watery pink lotus. Like the kaleidoscopic pastels of an opal, a rainbow of scent impressions drift by: is that rose? Ylang-ylang? Kiwi? The enigma continues through the drydown, which stays intriguingly cold and refreshing.

The tragic water spirit moves between rivers and seas, luring the man who has wronged her to his last sleep. Rusalka’s Embrace embodies the final breath before the depths close in: the slow sway of seaweed, a gasp of peppermint and pine, the frankincense waft of propolis, the clammy musk of drowned skin, and all the flowers he never lived to smell.
