Inspired by the mythical nectar of the gods, Ambrosia opens with the sweet, delicate notes of plumeria and mango, layered with the lush richness of peach, lychee, and coconut. According to ancient religious scriptures, Mary mother of Jesus was informed of her destiny by the Archangel Gabriel when she was about 13 years old. Artists over the centuries have been captivated by the idea of this scene, a startled schoolgirl recoiling in shock from the supernatural being. The lily, symbolizing purity and innocence, is not only a common element of these artworks, but is also the inspiration for this extrait. In principio, Latin for “in the beginning”, is a meditation on the creamy radiance of lily, supported by the down-low sensuality of ylang ylang. Mace, sweeter than nutmeg and softer than incense, lends clarity, while sweet/tart kumquat sharpens the focus.

Masa is the Arabic word for a one-of-a-kind diamond, and this EdP embodies the diamond’s luminosity through a balance of herbal freshness and ambered wood notes. Masa opens with a crisp combo of bergamot and grapefruit highlighted by the warm spice of ginger root. Mirabelle, a sweet golden plum, becomes the focal point, its honeyed floral charms suspended in a radiant amber syrup of cardamom, vanilla, guaiac wood and patchouli. A stealth violet leaf, a throwback to vintage elegance, steers Masa towards leather.

Step out into the world clean-with-a-sheen thanks to the dewy freshness of this smile-bringer. The initial grapefruit/mandarin kick opens up into creamy magnolia and tart apple, underscored with woody vetiver and cedar.

A mouth-watering gourmand inspired by the baking prowess of Jany, one of the daughters of Sora Dora flounder Antoine. We envision Jany busy in the kitchen, dusted in sugar and flour, preparing tarte tatin. The butter melts on the hot glass dish, dissolving brown sugar into syrup. The aroma swirls around the room, billows to the veranda, travels to the garden. Baked apples and cinnamon sticks merge into exhalations of puff pastry. Then come caramel, almonds and vanilla, powerful aromas that linger into the evening.

White is a bright and lively fragrance built around the friction between hot spices and suave florals. The cinnamon, clove and cardamom opening suggests candied red hots, which makes it all the more surprising when the melange of rose de Mai and lily of the valley softly asserts itself. The undertone of tagete, with its bitter herbalness, keeps White from getting too “pretty-pretty”.
