The following are some reasons why perfumes can become unavailable:

  1. Each year, the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) issues ever-stricter safety and allergen regulations. This affects quite a few classic formulas as well as niche compositions, and sometimes brands have to discontinue a perfume if they are unable to reformulate.
  2. The brand decides to change the concentration. For example, an eau de parfum is reformulated as an extrait, effectively turning it into a different perfume.
  3. The brand ceases operating. The creative director passed away, got bored, started a new project, sold the business, etc.
  4. The brand cannot keep up with logistics and production demands, with disruptions for up to a year. If there is no regular production and availability schedule, it is not viable for a stockist to carry the brand.
  5. The brand changed the distribution model, eg from niche to duty free.

7 as a Constant - Aura of Kazakhstan - Bloom Perfumery

Perfumer: Angeline Leporini

Drawing on the Kazakh belief in the sacredness of the number 7 this scent holds seven empowering materials. Exotic osmanthus and apricot brings a soft floral sweetness which sits aside gentle warming amber. The reassuring scent of cashmere wood blends in peaceful harmony with balsamic gurjum resin and potent oud for smooth woodier tones. The beautiful allure of soft suede from orris enhanced by rich earthy patchouli leaving behind a sensual diffusion that is aromatic and graceful.

All about this fragrance

Vibe check

This is a fragrance for close, thoughtful company rather than a room-filling entrance: the kind of scent that sits neatly in a quiet conversation, a tailored coat, and the space between movement and stillness. Its suede-soft woods and pale floral fruit give it a composed, almost contemplative presence.

How to wear

Best in mild to cool weather, where its airy woods and soft leather facets can unfold without feeling heavy. Apply lightly to pulse points or clothing for a discreet, refined trail; on skin it stays smooth and close, while in the air it reads as clean, woody and softly balsamic with good longevity.

Who it’s for

For wearers who like aromatic woods with an unusual, polished twist: carrot seed, osmanthus and orris over smooth cashmere wood and oud. It will appeal to those who prefer quiet complexity, suede-like textures and a clean, unisex profile that feels artistic rather than sweet.

Release year

Late 2023 or early 2024

The nose

Angeline Pouebeu Leporini is credited with creating 7 as a Constant. Her work here leans into a composed, textural style: airy aromatics, soft floral fruit tones and dry woods are arranged to feel polished rather than loud, with the oud and leather facets kept smooth and controlled. That restraint suits a fragrance built around contrast—pastel brightness against resinous depth, suede against wood, clarity against mystery. The result is a niche composition that feels carefully balanced and quietly distinctive, with the perfumer shaping the materials into something serene rather than dramatic.

Aura of Kazakhstan’s story

Aura of Kazakhstan builds its identity around Kazakh land, memory and cultural heritage, translating steppes, mountains, cities and nomadic symbolism into perfume. The house presents scent as a carrier of place and continuity, with each composition framed as part of a wider story about origin, movement and belonging.

7 as a Constant’s concept

7 as a Constant draws on the sacred meaning of the number seven in Kazakh culture, especially the seven stars of Ursa Major that guided nomadic life across the Great Steppe. The fragrance turns that idea of a timeless constant into a serene, airy composition, pairing apricot and carrot seed with osmanthus, orris, cashmere wood and oud.

Extra info

The name refers to the number seven, a sacred symbol in Kazakh culture. The bottle is described as handcrafted Kazakh glass with a custom metal plate, and the fragrance sits within a brand narrative that links perfume to the Great Steppe and nomadic heritage.
