L‘Échappée Sauvage (Run Wild Fig Child)
Somewhere Mediterranean... The dazzling sun at its zenith, an exhilarating warm, delicious wind sweeps over the south side of the Island… Air scorches the parasol pines, the wild fig trees, cracking twigs into a merry anarchy. Pine needles crush under bare feet releasing a sensual summer scent.
All Voyages Imaginaires perfumes are made with only natural ingredients and organic wheat alcohol.
All about this fragrance
Vibe check
The mood is an unhurried escape from the crowded shore, following a rough path beneath fig trees and pines. Creamy fruit softens the dry, twiggy woods, suggesting a relaxed presence with a slightly unruly edge rather than polished formality.
How to wear
Its green fig and citrus character suits spring and summer, while the woody backbone offers substance on milder days. Start with one or two sprays on skin; in hot weather, keep application light to balance the creamy fruit against its brighter facets. Try it on skin before increasing the dose.
Who it’s for
For those who prefer fig framed by green textures, dry woods and earthy impressions rather than overt sweetness. Its creamy fruit and pink-pepper accent appeal to lovers of botanical fragrances that feel textured and unconventional.

The nose
Isabelle Doyen and Camille Goutal are jointly credited for L’Échappée Sauvage. Doyen’s work spans the lyrical botanical compositions of Annick Goutal and the more experimental world of niche perfumery. Her sensitivity to green textures and atmospheric contrasts finds a natural setting in this Mediterranean fig composition. Camille Goutal trained in perfumery alongside Doyen and brings a photographer’s attention to imagery to their shared work. At Voyages Imaginaires, their longstanding creative partnership explores an exclusively natural palette without treating synthetic perfumery as inferior.
Collaborators
Camille Goutal also shaped the house’s artistic direction and created its photographic imagery, connecting the duo’s olfactory work with the visual language of imaginary travel.
Voyages Imaginaires’s story
Voyages Imaginaires turns memories, dreams and imagined journeys into fragrance. Founded by Camille Goutal and Isabelle Doyen, the house works with natural ingredients in organic wheat alcohol as a deliberate compositional challenge, placing creative freedom and evocative imagery at the center of its identity.
L‘Échappée Sauvage (Run Wild Fig Child)’s concept
L’Échappée Sauvage imagines an unnamed Mediterranean island at midday: hot wind moves through wild fig trees and umbrella pines, while bare feet crush fallen needles. Creamy fig, citrus and dry woods translate that sun-heated landscape into scent. It belonged to the house’s original five-fragrance collection.
Extra info
L’Échappée Sauvage won the 2021 Fragrance Foundation France Experts’ Prize for independent-brand perfumery. Its presentation includes refillable 75 ml and 10 ml sprays, alongside a 100 ml refill.
