All about this fragrance
Vibe check
Namedrops suits the moment when a quiet conversation becomes animated and coats stay draped over chair backs. Transparent woods leave room for proximity, while pepper and a leathery edge give the scent a firmer voice—an assertive accent rather than a dense, sweet statement.
How to wear
Start with one spray on skin, worn alone or alongside your usual fragrance, and assess the combination before adding more. Its transparent profile suggests year-round use: in warm weather, keep application light; in cooler air, let the sandalwood and vanilla provide a softer counterweight to the pepper. Layering is intended to add radiance, not guarantee longer wear.
Who it’s for
For those drawn to transparent woody fragrances with peppery tension and a leathery edge, rather than dense sweetness. It also appeals to wearers who enjoy adjusting a familiar perfume through layering, while retaining the option of wearing the enhancer on its own.

The nose
Craig Andrade is the founder, perfumer and creative director of The Raconteur. After a 25-year career in private equity and capital-markets law, he trained at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery and studied natural perfumery with Mandy Aftel. His work connects Australian storytelling with the country's native botanicals. For Namedrops, Andrade created a perfume intended to work both independently and alongside an existing fragrance, adding freshness and radiance without asking the wearer to abandon a favourite scent.
Raconteur’s story
The Raconteur approaches perfumery through Australian people, places, history and landscapes, with native plant extracts central to its identity. Handmade in Australia, its fragrances are gender-neutral, vegan and cruelty-free; personal taste, rather than gender, guides how they are worn.
Namedrops’s concept
Namedrops began with the idea of making fragrance experimentation compatible with loyalty to a favourite perfume. Andrade conceived it as both a standalone scent and a layering enhancer, pairing the transparent character of ISO E Super with sandalwood, vanilla and Tasmanian Mountain Pepper to introduce freshness and radiance.
Extra info
The launch playfully divided the composition into “BIG NOTES” for sandalwood and vanilla, “HOT AIR” for mixed spice, and “NOTHING MUCH” for ISO E. The pepper in the current official note list is specifically Tasmanian Mountain Pepper.
