The Nero collection
Nose: Pierre Guéros
“When I received the first samples of the fragrance that would later become Nektar, I was ravished by its personality and by the quality of its composition. Full of softness and creativity, Nektar recalls honey without being overwhelming, while drawing a distinctive character from its intense notes. Working with Pierre was a real pleasure. In little time, we gave life to a perfume that does not go unnoticed, now available in our flagship stores and at authorized retailers across the globe.”
Roberto Drago, LO's owner
All about this fragrance
Vibe check
Nektar suits an evening conversation that gradually draws closer: honey softens the impression, while leather and resin keep it from feeling coy. Its register is tactile and self-possessed, more worn leather jacket than polished formalwear.
How to wear
Cool to mild weather is a natural starting point for its honey, leather and resinous warmth. Begin with one or two sprays on skin, allowing the grapefruit brightness to settle into the softer base. In warmer conditions or close quarters, apply lightly so the sweetness remains an accent.
Who it’s for
For those who enjoy honey without a confectionery finish, and leather softened rather than stripped of character. It will appeal to tastes that favor woody, resinous fragrances with warmth, texture and a measured gourmand edge.

The nose
Pierre Guéros, also credited as Pierre-Constantin Guéros, is a Symrise perfumer whose work spans niche and designer fragrance. His compositions often explore contrasts between luminous accents and richly textured materials. In Nektar, he approached honey as part of a landscape, balancing its softness with leather, incense and woods rather than treating it simply as a sweet note.
Collaborators
Roberto Drago, the house’s co-founder and creative director, worked with Pierre Guéros to develop Nektar from its early samples. Their shared direction was a honey-centered fragrance with softness and a distinctive, intense character, without overwhelming sweetness.
Laboratorio Olfattivo’s story
Founded by Daniela Caon and Roberto Drago, Laboratorio Olfattivo gives perfumers artistic freedom under Drago’s creative direction. Stories, journeys and emotions guide the compositions, with raw-material quality taking priority over market formulas and restrained packaging keeping attention on the scent.
Nektar’s concept
Nektar grew from Pierre Guéros’s journey to Wadi Darbat in southern Oman, where he spent time with a botanist and a frankincense grower. His aim was to evoke Sidr honey together with its surrounding landscape. Honey, leather and olibanum translate that inspiration into a composition that is soft but not merely sweet.
Extra info
Nektar belongs to Laboratorio in Nero, the house’s black-bottle collection. Its official heart notes name Miel essentiel De Laire and Tiramisone®—the latter is a named material, not a literal tiramisu note.
