The audacity of Dutch herbs (aka cannabis), along with notes of hand-squeezed grapefruit, Calabrian bergamot, and mandarin. Matching sass with class are mimosa and pink pepper. Big, confident and up for fun.
All about this fragrance
Vibe check
An afternoon gathering with the windows open and the music turned up: Nocologne brings sharp grapefruit brightness and an unruly herbal edge to an animated room. Its generous presence suits an outgoing mood, where freshness should feel assertive rather than discreet.
How to wear
The citrus-green profile suits spring and summer, but its concentrated format calls for restraint in heat. Start with one or two sprays on skin and assess before adding more; the house rates its sillage as high. Applying beneath a light layer can temper its outward presence in close quarters.
Who it’s for
For lovers of citrus and aromatic fragrances who find traditional colognes too restrained. Grapefruit, clary sage and cannabis-like herbs give the freshness a green bite, while mimosa and vetiver add texture without turning it into a sweet gourmand.
Release year
2023
Collaborators
Founder Bram Niessink shaped the creative brief: a cologne that would retain its bright opening while offering greater persistence. His documented involvement centred on developing that balance through repeated versions.
Fugazzi’s story
Founded in Amsterdam by Bram Niessink, FUGAZZI combines playful provocation with luxury perfumery. Its approach favours instinct, experimentation and freedom of expression, treating scent as a way to evoke memories and emotions rather than follow established fragrance conventions.
Nocologne’s concept
Nocologne grew from the apparent contradiction of a long-lasting, intensely concentrated cologne that still felt fresh. Niessink describes working through 24 versions after finding that increasing the oil concentration alone failed to preserve the impact of the opening. The resulting extrait pairs vivid citrus with aromatic herbs and a grounded, green base.
Extra info
Despite its cologne-inspired character, Nocologne is an extrait de parfum with a stated 30% concentration. Its cannabis association belongs to the scent’s creative language: the official pyramid lists “Dutch herbs,” while the launch campaign explicitly used cannabis imagery.
