All about this fragrance

Vibe check

A playful scent for an unhurried afternoon, with the comforting sweetness of a milky treat and a peppermint edge that keeps the mood alert. It suggests someone relaxed enough to enjoy a little nostalgia without dressing it up: soft textures, informal company and no need for ceremony.

How to wear

The peppermint-and-milk contrast suits mild weather and summer wear, though the sugary vanilla calls for a light hand in heat. Start with one or two sprays on skin and assess before adding more; restrained application lets the mint lift the creamy sweetness without filling a close space.

Who it’s for

For lovers of milky gourmands, cotton-candy sweetness and peppermint confectionery. Its appeal lies in the contrast between comforting creaminess and a brighter mint accent, especially for those who prefer playful, nostalgic sweetness to dark or heavily spiced desserts.

Collaborators

LUZ’s in-house creative team is credited with On a Cloud, bringing together perfumery, evaluation, planning and design to translate its Japanese summer-memory concept into fragrance.

J-Scent’s story

J-Scent translates Japanese culture, seasons and everyday experiences into fragrances that recall specific scenes. Rather than relying on familiar cultural symbols alone, the house finds inspiration in ordinary moments, creating and producing its fragrances in Japan.

On a Cloud’s concept

On a Cloud evokes a childhood summer in the Japanese countryside: playing outdoors beneath billowing clouds, then returning to a grandparents’ home for Ice-Kurin, a traditional ice cream. Vanilla and milk suggest the clouds’ fluffy whiteness, while peppermint introduces a refreshing contrast to the sugary warmth.

Extra info

The fragrance’s Japanese name is Nyudogumo. Beyond the 50 mL eau de parfum, the Japanese range includes a 10 mL perfume oil and a 2 mL mini fragrance. At ScentXplore, the brand noted that some American visitors connected its vanilla–mint character with their own childhood sweets.
