Lacura, the name of this perfume extrait sounds a bit like Latin or some magic language for "protection or cure".

It’s an uplifting nectarous woody citrus formula that has the complete set of wonderful perfume materials from the bitter orange tree: bigarade oil from the fruit, neroli and orange blossom absolute from the bloom and the fresh woody petigrain from leaves and twigs. That citrus and fresh woody plenty is layered with voluminous modern musks (velvety Velutone), gleaming vanilla, caramel and benzoin.

In the times when most people still believed in the magic of scent, orange blossom was considered to be a symbol/good charm for marital harmony and bliss (and often it’s still part of brides’ bouquets) and also an aphrodisiac.

Mendittorosa still believe in perfume magic crafting their blends in the old town of Napoli and Lacura is their recipe for lifting moods and happy dreams.

The green fruit extract has a delicate fleeting aroma, which rolls into a more confident sweet blend of ripe mandarins. The amber note in the base merges the two into a happy zesty perfume.

Perfume: Karine Vinchon

A new addition to Bloom’s portfolio, an elegant cologne with herbaceous and woody undertones.

With classic formulas it’s the quality of the ingredients that matters. Marie Jeanne might be a new perfume house, but it’s founded by a young perfumer from a family connected to Robertet for several generations.

Robertet is a bit like De Beers of the fine natural perfume materials, for decades they have been dealing with the finest, purest and most precious stuff a perfumer can dream of.

This is Marcel, a classic elegant herbaceous cologne but with highly likely the best bergamot from Italy, ylang-ylang from Madagascar, vetiver from Haiti and patchouli from Indonesia among other notes in the formula.

About Cap Neroli by Nicolai Parfumeur Createur

How does Cap Neroli differ from these similar fragrances?
Cap Neroli combines a complex blend of citrus, florals, herbs, and musky-vanilla base notes, creating a balanced and nuanced floral scent. Many listed fragrances focus on a subset of these notes, such as emphasizing fresh citrus or neroli, but may lack Cap Neroli’s musky warmth or herbal complexity.
What are the key notes that define Cap Neroli?
The key notes of Cap Neroli include petitgrain, rosemary, orange, bergamot, mint, mandarin, neroli, orange blossom, jasmine, oakmoss, ylang-ylang, hedione, musk, and vanilla. Its character is built on a fresh, floral, and slightly green citrus profile with warm, musky undertones.
Are any of these fragrances more suitable for warmer weather than Cap Neroli?
Several fragrances such as Brume d'été, Neroli & Petitgrain, and Fleur d'Oranger have lighter, fresher profiles with prominent citrus and floral notes that make them well suited for warm weather. Cap Neroli itself is versatile but includes musk and vanilla which add warmth, making it appropriate for multiple seasons.
