Honey Oud opens with a gourmand accord of English honey and vanilla which combine to add a velvet softness to the oud oil and accentuate the rose at the heart of this complex fragrance.
The exclusive fragrance is created with oud oil from a certified sustainable source of agarwood.
All about this fragrance
Vibe check
An evening conversation that carries on after the plates are cleared: honey and vanilla suggest lingering sweetness, while rose and oud give the warmth a darker edge. The mood is intimate and unhurried, with richness rather than brightness setting the tone.
How to wear
The honey, amber and vanilla richness makes this a natural choice for cooler weather. Start with one or two sprays on skin, allowing the rose and woody heart to emerge beneath the sweetness. In warmer conditions or close quarters, use a lighter application to keep the gourmand warmth restrained.
Who it’s for
For those who enjoy honeyed gourmands but want woody depth rather than sweetness alone. It suits a taste for plush amber, vanilla and rose, and offers an appealing approach to oud through softness rather than austerity.
Release year
2014
The nose
Floris’s in-house perfumery team created Honey Oud, developing its honeyed, rose-accented composition alongside the contrasting Leather Oud.
Floris’s story
Floris is a family-run London perfumery founded in 1730, with its creative home on Jermyn Street. Its approach combines traditional craftsmanship, in-house composition and the personal attention of bespoke perfumery with contemporary ideas rather than relying solely on its archive.
Honey Oud’s concept
Baklava provided the starting point: layers of pastry, honey and vanilla translated into a gourmand composition, with oud supplying depth and rose softening the heart. Developed alongside Leather Oud, Honey Oud began as a limited Harrods exclusive before becoming part of the permanent Private Collection.
Extra info
Honey Oud uses oud oil from a certified sustainable agarwood source and is blended in small batches. Oud appears in both the heart and base of the official note pyramid, giving the composition a woody thread beneath its honeyed gourmand character.
