The cool night air dissipates under the sun’s first rays. The ripe citrus in the field has absorbed all the water of the morning dew and the farmers are ready to work on the misty green fields, speckled by the bright yellow of the citron. They leave their woody cabin and take a deep breath…

There’s a tantalising friction in the smell of iris root. It’s austere, but tender. It can be powdery, but it also suggests leather. Depending on the context, it can read as feminine or masculine. Iris Ardent resolves this fabled material’s dissonance in a compelling eau de parfum that balances all of iris’ contradictions. The opening spikes of cypress and vetiver provide the scaffolding for cushiony amber and powdery iris. Juniper’s bright twang illuminates the darkness of incense and moss. Intellectual, but accessible.

Klea opens with crisp mandarin and bergamot, while olive leaf adds an aromatic quality. As it warms on the skin, light and dewy floral notes of water lily, magnolia and jasmine reveal themselves. There’s fizzy cedrat and the salty-fresh friction of tart rhubarb against rooty vetiver. Like all dreams, things get weird: a niff of rosy plastic and smoky incense. Yesterday is a place you can never visit again, but it’s still an escape from tomorrow. That’s Delulu.

Delulu bottle caps are hand made from memories, specifically a nostalgic jumble of plastic beach toys captured in epoxy resin.

Parfum 1 is where Fugazzi began, inspired by founder Bram Niessink’s trip to Egypt and the discovery of ancient perfume oils. Parfum 1 is a bold blend of bright and dark fruits, made mysterious by patchouli and cedarwood. The fresh top notes of citrus and blackcurrant are insinuating, gracefully riding a woody wave of sandalwood and musk. The effect is leathery, with a faint kiss of apple pie.

Opening with sparkling notes of lime and mandarin tempered with pink pepper and a green accord, delicate cherry blossom with soft almond aromas enhanced with powdery violets and creamy vanilla.
