Some perfume magic, a perfume that captured the soul of autumn, complete with foggy cold mornings (orris), dry leaves (the effect of various balsams and resins), sleepy sun (played by vanilla absolute and Indian oud) and fireplaces (gaiac).

Anna Zworykina’s blends are olfactive smellscapes (but neither aromatherapy, nor ‘spray-and-go’ perfumes). Her blends are sensory experiences, closer to works of art created in the scented plane (rather than, say, visual or audio).

Certain essential oils and absolutes that are used in her 100% natural perfumes may potentially cause allergies in some people. Please spray Anna Zworykina’s blends on fabric (on sleeves, scarves, etc.). This said, Anna Zworykina has acquired a huge fan base over many years and people interacted with her blends for quite a while now. We are not aware of any reports of any skin reactions so far.

However, Anna advises that those who are prone to allergic reactions, pregnant and nursing women, as well as people with chronic illnesses to be extra careful. Before trying natural blends, study the list of ingredients and consult with a doctor if you are not sure or a had a history of allergies. If you do decide to put these blends on your skin (unable to resist the temptation) always test the blend on the inside part of your elbow first and wait.

Do not spray these blends liberally as a cloud in the way you would spray a conventional perfume. Anna’s smellscapes need to be… carefully applied and experienced. Be mindful that some oils can also make your skin hyper-sensitive to UV.

Perfumer: Kévin Mathys

In this perfume story, the smoky gaiac aroma is gliding across a fresh and boundless ozonic void.

The story is open to interpretation: you can smell the waterproof canvas of the parachute gear in the abstract clean woodiness of the formula; or the air from under the tarpaulin you pull off a glider in its hangar; or think of any scenario involving flying machinery and an unlimited supply of fresh air.

The perfumer wanted to achieve a hazy floating shadow of an aroma, evoking a sensation of endless dark blue space, the calm humming of an engine, and hints of gasoline or machine oil. A worthy heir to the grandpa of all hazy smoky formulas inspired by airplane wings: Guerlain’s Vol de Nuit.

Lances is a Spanish word that means the fleeting but decisive moments that change everything ever after. Risks are taken, character is forged. This extrait embodies this risk and reward dynamic with the high-contrast tension between hazelnut and four varieties of lavender. The effect is intriguingly ambiguous, simultaneously pulled towards the gourmand with the help of vanilla and sandalwood, while maintaining an aromatic aloofness thanks to the lavender and cedarwood.

Perfumer: Jean-Christophe Hérault

Kumaru is the name of the tree that produces the star of this composition: the incredibly expressive tonka bean. This sensual and comforting fragrance is built around this versatile material in all its facets: woody, balsamic, vanillic and almondy, with hints of tobacco and hay. Cardamom, roasted barley and amber add a gourmand texture that shimmers between touchable and lickable. Musks heighten the addictive quality.

Shaped by French beauty influencer and tech academic Mia Fall (@socharmante), Vanilla for Breakfast is an olfactory confession of her deepest obsession: vanilla. Sweet almond extract, milky and tender, harmonizes with creamy benzoin as not one, not two, not three, but FOUR different vanillas assert themselves. A vanilla tincture lifts first alongside the sweet almond. Vanilla CO2 bridges the top to the heart. Vanilla absolute from Madagascar settles into the heart and base. And finally, a twentyfold concentrated vanilla absolute, the most enveloping of all, stays with you forever. Roasted tonka absolute underscores the message with its toasted depth. Most vanillas take their time. This one wakes up early!

702 is a mix of rich incense balanced with earthy bitter sweet freshness of lavender.

Aragon is an olfactory tribute to the Aragon region of Spain, the birthplace of Mallo. A unique aromatic fougere, the scent showcases local aromatic plant extracts from cypress, basil, thyme, rosemary and artemisia. Added to this busy mix is the pipirigallo flower, exclusive to the region. The scent is rounded off by mossy, resinous elements for a warm, enveloping feel.

Arc is a natural fougere with a concentration of around 40%. Perfumer Rajesh Balkrishnan has summoned a glorious symphony of sunkissed herbs, lavender, jasmine and pine, grounded by the deep earthy richness of oakmoss. The cinnamon spice of styrax and the smoky vanillic sweetness of benzoin assist the joyful lift-off.
