I was inspired while visiting Kew Gardens in London in May. Every May there are hundreds of blooming magnolia trees in different sorts, sizes, scents and colours. Usually it is a very rainy season and my inspiration was to create a scent of the water and rain on magnolia trees.  

The symbol of this modern perfume is an American modern dance pioneer Ruth St. Denis. She is not only a very talented performer, but also very feminine.

When the dancer emerged from the darkness of the stage, her presence was immediately captivating, the air suddenly fragrant with her appearance. Adorned in jewels from head to toe, radiant in a special gold sari, her hair crowned in jasmine, she is an embodiment of divine feminine, mirroring the images of goddesses of Lakshmi and Saraswati but with the talented Ruth St. Denis touch of modern dance and ballet movement.

Madrigal harks back to Molinard's masculin fragrances of the 1930s. Citrusy and aromatic with notes of lemon and lavender, With woody tones Madrigal is a step away from sunny Provence, towards the chic French autumn. A multitude of cosy and enveloping moments created with notes of incense, cedar and patchouli.

Every perfume in the Shot series focuses on an iconic perfume material. Violet Shot zooms in on the complex beauty of violet leaf and its leathery, sweet, powdery and earthy nuances. To highlight the earthiness, the perfumer used patchouli, the sweet is enhanced with Madagascar vanilla, and the leathery vibes are supported by labdanum and saffraleine.

In Aqaysos the perfumer tries to imagine crystal wood, smooth, capturing and reflecting light but still with wood grain texture.

That chatoyant effect is created from cold spices and light cashmere woods. Aqaysos is quite intense and lasting despite being airy.

Try if you like Aventus style perfumes, dry woody formulas with a fresh ozonic touch.

The Sniff on Aqaysos:
"We really liked every part of this fragrance, but the base was particularly delightful. To our testers it smelled reminiscent of warm cotton, freshly ironed laundry and line-drying clothes. It has that gorgeous breezy cleanliness underpinned by the blonde woods. PG fragrances often have this exquisite sense of balance that really make them sparkle. As a result they are incredibly satisfying to wear."

The perfume was inspired by contemplation at the Serpentine Lake in Hyde Park, London.

Nature and people come together to celebrate the summer Solstice. Light tobacco smoke rises above the tall grass, drowning merry people in its sweet cloud.

Ripe berries and plant seeds attract park squirrels and other animals. White Royal swans fall asleep in the pond. A light breeze ripples the surface of the water.
The mystical snake (serpent) rustles on the dewy evening grass and disappears into the fern, frightening the screaming birds.
Everything around is immersed in a bohemian night.
