"[it] opens with a delicate white floral note, bolstered with a smooth citrus undertone. It doesn’t really matter if it is lemon blossom, or lemon and blossoms, either way the scent opens light, breezy, and expansive. It’s a transparent scent that conjures up images of white muslin curtains billowing in a Mediterranean breeze, all gauzy and floaty. The floral nuances are sweet, delicate, almost naive, whilst the lemon is sharper, sourer but never very aggressive."

On an empty street in a city, a lone tree stands, bare and forlorn. You tenderly stroke the trunk with your hand and then hug it tightly, listening as it whispers of long-passed time. A fog lifts and you look down at your hands, which are covered in the cool, damp feel of moss. Lost Generation is a tone poem in scent, resinous hinoki lightened with grapefruit, deepened with leather.

Against the backdrop of a mountainous terrain, two communities share a peaceful coexistence. Yet despite their proximity, the societies are distinctly unique. Macaques cavort among the trees, grasping with delight at nature’s bountiful pleasures. A perfume inspired by a spring picnic in Naju, South Korea, known for its pears, lush forests and blossoming Buddhist gardens. The opening of matcha tea, pear ice cream, ginger and almond evokes a picnic on pagoda steps. Delving deeper, jasmine, hinoki wood and toasted rice envelop the senses. Woolly castoreum and a meaty accord of goji gui offer a surprisingly savoury drydown.

PG30 Alphaora (rhyming with aura) is tenderly sweet and extremely far-reaching fragrant fantasy inspired by the albizia tree in bloom, with imaginary caramel smelling green moss that might grow on that tree.

You emerge from a Siberian pine forest to discover a treat: ripe raspberries growing in abundance in the brambles. In one of those sacred moments of serendipity, the smell of the rose you’re playfully wearing as a boutonnière swirls in the air with the snap of the evergreen trees and the tart syrup-sweetness of the raspberries.

Inspired by the serene monasteries of Russia, where silence, snow, and incense create a mystical atmosphere. A blizzard of white aldehydes set the scene, swirling around clove-like pimento, cold/minty hinoki wood, and evergreen pine. The incense here is a cold smolder.

An olfactive reconstruction of 17th century Viceregal Mexico: the mineral notes of terra cotta tile floors and stucco walls, the wooden beams and gilded altars give way to a heart of of spiced cacao. In the background, the incense from the church mixes with the kitchen spices, creating an evocative Baroque concoction between heaven and earth. Notes include: Cocoa absolute, Mexican vanilla, cinnamon, and a smoked chili infusion.
