The fruity and herbaceous facet of Davana essential oil is then softened by a warm and appetizing Vanilla to reveal a modern and striking chypre."

A perfumer imagining a colour as a fragrance for Brocard’s recent project: Color Feeling.

Jorge Guerrero designed the aroma of red: bitter-sweet tonka and candied oranges against the backdrop of boozy cherries.

A full-on fruity floral goumond. Radiant goosbury and ylang-ylang work in harmony for a delightfully delectible effect. Shavings of sweet woods is created by cedarwood and jasmine which are encased in honeyed amber. A background of vanilla enriches the oriental effect with hints of leather giving a rounded diffusion.

It's a beautiful fruity vetiver perfume in which the discreet greenness of the vetiver root is highlighted by sumptuous fig and fruity pink pepper.

These materials tell the story of a mythical land, some paradise where fantastic fruits grow. Vetiver is the earthy background and other notes represent the heavenly orchard.

The bottle deserves a separate mention, it's heavy crystal with exactly 57 facets, the same number you have in the classic diamond cut, the perfect number to capture light inside the stone and make it pulse within.

Technically tonka are nuts as they come from a tree (whereas a bean is a seed of a legume). ‘Tonka beans’ is a misnomer but also phrase used to refer to them in perfumery, cooking, etc. In Happy Nuts tonka is key note contributing to the delicious nuts roasted in caramel fragrant idea. The name could be a suggestive euphemism or just a reference to tonka being promoted to their accurate botanical rank – nuts.

Some perfume magic, a perfume that captured the soul of autumn, complete with foggy cold mornings (orris), dry leaves (the effect of various balsams and resins), sleepy sun (played by vanilla absolute and Indian oud) and fireplaces (gaiac).

Before trying natural blends, study the list of ingredients and consult with a doctor if you are not sure or a had a history of allergies. If you do decide to put these blends on your skin (unable to resist the temptation) always test the blend on the inside part of your elbow first and wait.

Do not spray these blends liberally as a cloud in the way you would spray a conventional perfume. Anna’s smellscapes need to be… carefully applied and experienced. Be mindful that some oils can also make your skin hyper-sensitive to UV.
