Warm, spicy and friendly, this extrait summons the good and protects you from the bad. A nutty haze of coconut a-swirl with cardamom, walnut and nutmeg soon deepens with the plush lushness of jasmine and iris. Fig, richly sweet and vegetal, adds contrast, while sandalwood provides cozy, just-out-of-focus grounding that is mellow and milky.

Cigar boxes. Camden market bong shops reeking of joss sticks. Old lady soap. Sandalwood sometimes gets a bit of a bad rap. Undaunted, we’ve taken the dependable old fave and turned it on its head.

We’ve tracked down a unique Australian sandalwood versatile enough to handle hints of outlandish but ethically and sustainably sourced banana, cardamom, black pepper with weird and wonderful Labdanum and Benzoin resin. Which all means that this is sandalwood unlike anything you’ve experienced before.

So, unlike the bong shop, it won’t make your hair stink for weeks.

This soft tropical skin scent opens with a burst of bright bergamot and lemon zest, setting the stage for a heart of creamy jasmine and coconut water. Floral notes of rose, neroli, orange blossom and geranium unfold beneath, adding a delicate, sunlit richness. As the sun sets, warm amber, sensual musk and airy ambrette create a lingering  finish — like sunset on your favourite island.

An extravagant fruity perfume in which warm boozy spices (cinnamon and cloves) incite carefree fruit into jammy debauchery in some dense sweet patchouli setting. Check out the crazy banana explosion in the opening.

It’s ok to go bananas at times. Don’t take life too seriously. 

An opening of citric and fizzy lemon combined with bright lime and bergamot, salty and refreshing, just like those Mediterranean summers.

The sharp salty accord lends further depth and keeps the lemon note true throughout the long-lasting dry down; interspersed with the bright combination of musks and patchouli.

A rapturous rose, apple and patchouli perfume with a lick of honey. But the joyfully fresh effect of the composition is only part of the story. The kumquat-sandalwood accord seems infused with sunlight and bestows on the skin the charms of a melting creaminess, soft and fresh.

"[it] opens with a delicate white floral note, bolstered with a smooth citrus undertone. It doesn’t really matter if it is lemon blossom, or lemon and blossoms, either way the scent opens light, breezy, and expansive. It’s a transparent scent that conjures up images of white muslin curtains billowing in a Mediterranean breeze, all gauzy and floaty. The floral nuances are sweet, delicate, almost naive, whilst the lemon is sharper, sourer but never very aggressive."

It’s a delectable amber with focus on the gourmand aspect of that ancient perfume recipe. Usually, an amber mix would require a resin (labdanum, benzoin, etc.), patchouli and vanilla. In Beso Canalla this sweet component often represented and highlighted by vanilla was extended to many dimensions. It starts with gently sweet bergamot, descends into caramelized a sugar accord in the heart and dries down into a sweet sandalwood and amber amalgamation.

In the Beso perfume trilogy this formula represents the relaxed afternoon when you have had your early morning swim and are now gathering energies for the night out ahead (chilling in the sweet shade with an ice cold orangeade, feet buried in warm sand).

An Eau de Parfum with floral amber notes, Mulberry Fig, is a warm creamy scent combined with bittersweet, green, and powdery orris notes to an incredible effect.

Inspired by St James's Park, a quick promenade away from our Jermyn Street shop, one of London’s oldest Royal Parks, surrounded by some of the country’s most famous landmarks and lush greenery.
Creamy sweet and bitter green aromas encompass the shoreline of the blissful lake towered by an abundance of fig trees, immense in scale with elongated deciduous leaves flaunting their architectural foliage, believed to be the largest in Britain.

Mulberry Fig is a scent that evokes a floral amber fragrance combining the soft powdery character of orris with hints of fruit and spice. The perfume opens with a sparkle of fig and cardamom supported from the heart with fragrant green tones of vetiver and cypress. Amyris, cedarwood and sandalwood emphasise the overall woody character that permeates through the perfume.
