On a hot, dry terrain, through the cracks of rocks, enigmatic flowers flourish. Every now and then, great beauty requires great contrasts. The fragrance opens with a vibrant burst of orange (South Africa) and zesty ginger (Nigeria), followed by a complex floral heart of rich rose (Morocco), powdery iris (Ivory Coast) reminiscent of sand swirling below the flowers, and bright chamomile (Egypt). It finishes with a narcotic base of sensual sandalwood (Somalia) and creamy vanilla (Madagascar).

This EdP references the indestructible nature of diamonds with a powerful blackcurrant-led bouquet. Juiciness is enhanced with raspberry, while powdery heliotrope and musk add padding to the cushiony feel. The ambered base, redolent with vanilla and brown sugar, offsets blackcurrant’s tartness.
 
The jewelled bottle incorporates a poem composed by Elen Jeres Ayoub, portrayed in Eastern Kufic calligraphy. The words have been meticulously placed so that the vertical lines create eight zones on the bottle, representing the lunar phases in each lunar calendar month to represent the passage of time.

This namesake perfume is an olfactory salon of provocative white florals (ylang-ylang, narcissus, jasmine) given tropical succulence with passion fruit and papaya. Mathilde’s heady brightness is softened by iris and sandalwood.

Rich and gothic Moth starts with a heavy dose of dark spices to jolt your senses before settling into a dusting of honey-sweet rose and powdery florals. Slowly, it tests its wings, taking flight on an exotic journey of nagarmotha, guaiac wood and patchouli. Mint and rose are a dynamic duo, and here we have aromatic shiso putting pep in the step of voluptuous rose. There’s a pleasing friction between the combination of musky French centrifolia and syrupy Turkish roses, and shiso’s savory green. Iris, sandalwood and cedar are the wooden trellis upon which Rose Shiso climbs.
