All about this fragrance
Vibe check
Atman Xaman suits an evening that unfolds slowly, with conversation close enough for its herbal and floral nuances to register beneath the leather and tobacco. Its resinous warmth feels at home against a worn leather jacket: tactile, slightly austere and sensual without relying on sweetness.
How to wear
Start with one or two sprays on the torso or a single pulse point, allowing the leather, tobacco and resins room to settle. Cool weather is a natural setting for this dense profile; in warmer conditions, apply more lightly to keep the vanilla–musky warmth from dominating the subtler herbal details.
Who it’s for
For those drawn to traditional leather fragrances, tobacco and resinous woods, especially when softened by vanilla and musk rather than brightened by overt freshness. Its animalic edge and old-school character will appeal to tastes that favor depth, texture and restrained sweetness.

The nose
Lorenzo Villoresi is a Florence-based independent perfumer whose work draws on travels, raw-material exploration and a background in philosophy. His compositions often combine richly textured woods, spices, resins and musks with evocative cultural imagery. Teint de Neige, Alamut and Dilmun illustrate the breadth of his approach, from powdery softness to opulent warmth. He created Atman Xaman around leather, tobacco and precious woods, giving its shamanic inspiration a substantial, sensual form. He has singled it out as a creation of which he is particularly proud.
Lorenzo Villoresi’s story
Founded in Florence in 1990, Lorenzo Villoresi approaches perfumery as an independent craft shaped by travel, particularly encounters with Middle Eastern cultures and aromas. In-house production, careful material selection and distinctive hexagonal bottles express a philosophy of personal, understated luxury rather than trend-led spectacle.
Atman Xaman (EdP)’s concept
Atman Xaman draws on the shaman as an interpreter of the forces of nature and humanity. Developed over two years, it translates that idea into leather, tobacco, woods and fragrant resins, with quieter floral and herbal details. Its spiritual imagery is grounded in a tactile composition rather than a literal depiction of ritual.
Extra info
The trademark application gives the name’s intended meaning as “The Shaman’s Soul.” The Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette were offered together at launch, rather than the EdP arriving as a later extension. The brand’s official note listing includes ambergris, which does not establish the use of natural ambergris.
