Lush green pastures tumble toward the horizon, arching beneath the imposing silhouette of a mountain range. Cumulus clouds roll across a bright blue sky, their massive shadows gliding over a peacefully grazing herd. In a corner of the meadow, a tiny calf braces quivering limbs and, with a mighty lurch, stumbles up to take its maiden steps. Its velvet snout prods, rooting at its mother, until the release of warm milk signals a satisfying welcome to this vast new world.
Zoologist Cow brings to mind a bucolic scene, a myriad of scents from Mother Nature’s nurturing bosom. Innocent florals sway among soft grasses, while apple gently sweetens the soft aroma of fresh milk. The result is a place both familiar and reassuring, where warm arms unfold to welcome us into a loving embrace. A place called home.

All about this fragrance
Vibe check
Cow suits an unhurried morning with the window open to a garden: apple and sage bring a green brightness, while soft flowers and milk keep the mood intimate. Its register is tender rather than dressed-up, suggesting the ease of being at home with someone familiar.
How to wear
The green floral profile lends itself to spring and mild summer weather, while the milk accord offers a comforting counterpoint in cooler air. Start with one or two sprays on skin and let the balance settle before adding more; a restrained application keeps the softly sweet aspect in proportion to the grassy freshness.
Who it’s for
For those drawn to green florals, gentle fruit notes and milky textures without a heavily dessert-like character. Cow offers an approachable side of conceptual perfumery, combining an unusual central accord with a familiar, reassuring pastoral mood.

The nose
Nathalie Feisthauer is an independent perfumer whose career spans major fragrance houses and distinctive niche creations. Her work ranges from the mineral-woody radiance of Hermès Eau des Merveilles, which she co-created, to more unconventional compositions for independent brands. For Cow, she pursued the softness of fresh milk rather than buttery richness, setting it among green grasses and gentle flowers.
Collaborators
Zoologist founder Victor Wong selected the cow as Feisthauer’s creative subject, establishing the animal concept from which she developed the fragrance’s calm, meadow-like setting.
Zoologist’s story
Toronto-based Zoologist translates animals and their habitats into imaginative olfactory portraits rather than literal animal smells. Its fragrances embrace beauty, oddity and playfulness, giving independent perfumers room to explore distinctive ideas. The house avoids natural animal-derived musks, and Cow contains no animal products.
Cow (Limited Edition)’s concept
The cow concept gradually became Feisthauer’s vision of a contented animal grazing in a meadow. Fresh milk, rather than butteriness, formed the central idea, surrounded by grassy freshness. Zoologist’s accompanying story follows a newborn calf taking its first steps and nursing, connecting the fragrance with maternal care, reassurance and home.
Extra info
The limited edition is a collector’s-bottle presentation of Cow, not a separate fragrance or reformulation. Despite its milk accord, the fragrance contains no animal products.
