Arquiste

Carlos Huber, the creative impresario and aesthete behind Arquiste originally comes from a background of historical preservation and architecture. It is this background that informs the rich tapestry of Arquiste.

A clever neologism, the word Arquiste combines art/artiste, architecture/arquitectura and archive, each one a driving influence and inspiration behind the collection.

Almost like the restoration of historical moments each fragrance is an olfactory time capsule, pertaining to a particular evocative moment or event in history, perfectly harnessing the seductive power of scent to conjure and express memory.

The Arquiste line has been developed in collaboration with perfumers Rodrigo Flores-Roux and Yann Vasnier.

Candles

Arquiste’s range of luxury scented candles each focus on a different place, interior or landscape evoked in one of their fragrance stores. Their scents are intended to recreate a unique ambience and mood and the quality of the materials - from the fragrances themselves, to the wax, the rounded bottom glass containers and the unique debossed logo lids - are what really set Arquiste candles apart from the competition. In fact, their leather, wood and saffron based Dark Galleon candle recently scooped the ‘Best Home Scent’ at the 2016 Olfactorama awards.
