The idea of Foudre (French for lightning) is simple and beautiful - to capture that particular crisp and slightly fruity fragrance that emanates from champaca flowers just before a tropical storm.
Some very special materials have been selected to recreate a floral tempest within a perfume formula. The perfumer used the essence of white champaca blossom obtained through low-temperature fractional distillation. The feel of the electrified, ozone-laced air is conjured up with vetiver, pepper and Aldemone©, a synthetic material which smells like the air after the rain. In the drydown there are soft velvety musks, black tea absolute and cashmeran.
