Nettuno is a frozen rose floating amid nebulous musks, blue ginger, translucent blooms and soft embracing leather. Powdered particles of earthy iris and vetiver drift like ash over this perfumed flight of fate and stellar protection.

Tangerinepearl combines the sharp intensity of grapefruit with the liveliness of fresh ginger, creating a tonic and luminous opening. Gradually, the fragrance softens with powdery iris accents that add depth and subtlety to this vibrant freshness.

A moonlit leather made with velvety violet leaves and smooth cool orris, all studded with cardamom, dry cedar and spicy earthy cypriol.

In the Beso trio, Beso Negro ("kiss of the darkness") represents the sleepless nights of the busy holiday island: velvety darkness, golden lanterns, cooling sea breeze, stars, and sand.

“Hey Bitch! You smell fucking good.” In Perfume World, that’s what we call a result. Hey Bitch! raises eyebrows with its dissonance between buttery, blowsy orange blossom and tough, bitter leather. Tangy rhubarb at the top snaps its fingers in your face, before dissolving into a blur of suedey iris and milky sandalwood. The dance between bitter and sweet keeps you on your toes throughout, conjuring hints of…what? Photocopier ink? Coffee? For sure it conjures ambered black leather, Bitch!

The same way in which Martin goes to a sight and rearranges what nature left there into an installation, the perfumer rearranged some molecules and materials to put the beauty of a natural material into focus.

Also Martin aims to let his stuctures to be absorbed back into natural chaos. Perfume evaporates into the environment in a similar fashion, beautiful but transient.

In Leather Shot all the focus is on the leather aroma effect (which can be achieved through many combinations of various perfume materials). In this particular perfume it's velvety orris, black tea and a touch of smoky sandalwood that create that dense, dark and heady aroma of suede.

The structure in the image below is a bit like the leather effect in perfumery. It manifests itself on the surface after some aromatic forces have worked their mysterious magic.

The Silence Mendittorosa refer to is not the absence of noises, but the Strength, free of time and space, uncontaminated and a sacred vibration, behind everything, before everything. After all.

The perfume is a beautiful honeyed sandalwood with tonka and an incense mix of precuous resins.

Here we consider the relationship between the sea and the art it has inspired.

Crabtree uses his grandfather's pen drawings of luxury yachts, his father's library of nautical fiction and his own tattoos as references. Accord of black ink dominate here; west Indian spiced rum; papers lost and found; the familiar dry accords of leather bound books balanced with warm enigmatic notes of vanilla pipe tobacco. All finely based around a dark heart of birch tar and labdanum.

Taiji, the symbol of Yin and Yang, refers here to the light and dark facets of the narcissus flower. This complex floral shimmers between the green of freshly-snapped stems and an animalic honey facet. Narcisse Taiji is a darkly luminous wonder, its narcotic allure underscored with leather and patchouli accents.

The largest Chinese community in Italy is located in the Tuscan city of Prato. The main drag, Via Pisoiese, is an “everything everywhere all at once” bustle of Chinese signs, 24-hour restaurants, holiday-bright colours, white Porsches emblazoned with Hello Kitty. The street is accidentally hipster, underground on purpose, eccentric by nature — reflected in this fire horse of a perfume, Cavallo di Fuoco. In it, mint and celery lead unexpectedly to a hurly-burly blend of pomelo, ginger, Chinese jujube and honeyed Chinese oud. Just like the dynamic fire horse in Chinese astrology, this smellscape is bold, untamed and full of life.

Important notice:

Zanini blends are living botanical compositions, crafted entirely from natural materials and free from synthetic fixatives or stabilizers.
